Is there anyway to have it scan the image directly into the scan share as opposed to creating subfolders and dropping in the image for each time you scan something?

My scans folder is F:\scans.

When I scan I'd like my img001 to be deposited in that folder.

ex:

F:\scans\img001
F:\scans\img002

However, for each scan I run it creates a subfolder and THEN drops the jpg in there.

ex:

F:\scans\imgJPG\img001 (first scan)
F:\scans\imgJPG000\img001 (second scan)
F:\scans\imgJPG001\img001 (third scan)

Is there anyway to prevent the creation of that additional imgJPG subfolder?

See the bottom of this picture.

Where it says create new folder using... you probably have that clicked and therefore is creating a new folder every time you scan. Un-click those if those are clicked and let me know how it goes.

I'm running an SCX-6322dn. Here's a screenshot of my web interface. I don't have that option. You'll notice my 'scan file folder' field is blank. Additionally, the file name field shows 'img' and when I run a scan from the scanner I have 3 options: tiff, jpg, and pdf. Generally I'm going to be scanning jpg but I'm assuming somehow between the type from the scanner and the filename line...I'm getting that extra folder name (imgJPG). If I scanned a pdf that extra folder name would be imgPDF.

I have the ability under maintenance to upgrade the firmware...but I didn't see any on Samsung's support site.

I appreciate everyone taking the time to help and I apologize if I've hijacked the thread.



P.S. The reason I'm trying to do this anyway is because soon after the files are scanned they're immediately 'moved' into their EMR software/database. And leftover are the empty folders. If the images were dropped into the root scan folder, I wouldn't have to worry about users going back and deleting empty folders after moving the images to EMR.

there are 3 letters after the model number, which are they?

The three letters are the country in which the machine was manufactured. Most of the machines I see are .../XAA which is Korea. I've been told that the quality of the products is significantly better than .../XAX though I don't know what country that is. Most of the consumables are manufactured in .../XBH, again I don't know what country that is.

i got the machine working but sometimes the user is disappearing in the scan to pc list...

I am using SCX8123NA/XSS. I used the Samsung Easy Printer to set up Scan to PC for 7 users (7 laptop).

But there are only 5 user appear in the scan list on the machine.

If one user is not in the list, just restart the laptop then their name will appear in the list (but other user will disappear). there is totaly 5 users in the list.

Can any one help me??? I try SyncThru website, read admin manual but no way to solve this problem
