    print problem with ricoh 3035

    i've been encounter the weird problem with ricoh 3035 . driver installed on win2000 server

    (member server). nearly 60 clients share the printer. erveryday it output a lot of misprint

    paper (just a line of unreadable code). i have to reatart machine ,stop print spool ,and

    delete print queue , otherwise it keeps running out of paper .

    Sounds like you are using the postscript driver without postscript on the machine.

      Definitely a driver issue. Try adding the Win 2000 driver and then add additional drivers for the workstation clients trying to access the machine in the Advanced tab of Printer Properties. That way each machine gets the specific .dll files for the operating system to properly send the print job.

      If you're using the PostScript driver, like Canonguy said: make sure the PS card is installed on the machine. If not, replace the driver with PCL 5e or RPCS.

        Had issues like. it would print fine, than all a sudden it starts to print gibberish. turns out to be either a firmware, or bad RAM.

          in this case there isn't any PostScript driver.i've tried rpcs and pcl 5 but it's unsucessful

          i'll try pcl5e . hopefully ,it can be sucessful.thanks for your tips
