    Windows 7 Pro Shared Folder

I set up a shared Folder on the C: Drive. I believe I properly constructed it with Full Control to Everyone on both the Share and Security tab. I can see the folder as being shared when I hover the mouse pointer over it.

On the Network view from other PCs in the office, Win 7 PCs can see the Share but Win XP Pro SP3 computers cannot. Any ideas?

Try adding the "Guest" account to the security tab. You could also turn of UAC to test.

Failing to plan is planning to fail!!!

On the XP SP3 machines, are you going through the My Network places?

If so, it could be that the XP machines are on a different workgroup.

Another thing to try on the XP SP3 machines is to use the UNC path directly to the share on the Windows 7 machine ie. \\Hostname\Sharename . Also check your advanced sharing settings with Windows 7 by going to the Network and Sharing Center and you may find adjustments for the type of networl you have joined (wheather be Home, Work or Public).
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

Go into the network and Sharing Centre, then the advanced sharing settings. Find the network type your computer is using and then look for the File Sharing Connections setting. Try changing the setting from using only 128 bit encryption to using 40 or 56 bit encryption. You may also want to try turning password protected sharing off.
