1st, Again thanks, for the help this is a great forum.

Minus the manual connect to server that is what exactly what I do with my e-studio 351c. It comes up nice an automatically in "Finder" and i simply double click the file_share folder as you suggest.

Unfortunately that printer is on its way out with "3D" prints about every 10th print. So that's why we bought this sweet "little" 4511.

With this 4511 it shows automatically as well and it shows as the SMB name specified in network controls. But all you get is "failed to connect"

I have tried your suggestion as well as a few others but no direct file sharing seems to work.

I think just to save anyone anymore hassle I am now just going to setup a remote scan folder and have everyone connect to that.

I have tested the share on windows and it works by going to the ip as well as from a centos machine. Even printing works. Just no mac to file share sharing.

So I guess I have a work around! But it would be nice to upgrade firmware! For now I think I better not mess with it!

Does anyone know the code for completely setting everything back to default or "format the hard drive or..." just in case its something besides network settings?

I looks like the MAC sharing issue is an OSX Lion 10.7+ Issue. OSX Lion + no longer supports older SMB technologies.

There are some work-a-rounds but I think I might just have to setup an alternate shares to network scan to for now...
