Printing issues with IE9, random, info being stripped off print jobs.

Since IE9 came out, I've been having issues on installs where departments codes are used. The issues are random and not everyone with IE9 is affected. So far it happens ount the Toshiba ebrdige 2030c series and the new ebx series machines. It's not driver specific. All machines have current firmware and drivers. It just seems to be random.

What happens is that print jobs that are sent have the users Department code and stored in the driver. The customer hits print from any other programs and the jobs shows up in the print queue and the PC name, pages, sets etc... show up fine. When printing from IE9 only does the PC name, user name and department code get stripped off the job and it shoves it into the "Invalid queue"at the mfp.

When security is disbaled in IE9 the jobs come through fine. I've been through all security settings with Toshiba DSC and can't find a resolution. Has anyone else had similiar issues?

IE9 certainly presents printing issues with almost all Xerox Phaser MFP's. This is a known issue and if you install Firefox or a different browser, this resolves it.

My computer decided o install IE9 without asking me, I found some pages with pictures would either have the pictures missing or come out as garbage, this is on a Canon machine.

Most of the time I use Firefox or Saffari which work fine.

Like you so far I have not been able to find a cure with IE9.

Have you tried using Compatibility View Mode? On the address bar, to the right of the URL is an icon that looks like a torn piece of paper. Try clicking that and then printing the page. This makes IE9 attempt to render the page using scripting for older browsers (IE7 or 8).

Is this like the "Printable View" button sometimes found on various websites? =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Compatibility View is different than printable mode. Printable mode is a version of the web page that exists in a separate HTML file with most of the crazy CSS and other formatting taken out. Compatibility View attempts to have the web server detect that an earlier version of IE is making the connection to it. I've attached a couple of examples. Capture is the address bar showing the Compatibility View icon. Before CVM shows page from HP shown without Compatibility View Mode (the text is small and hard to read). After CVM then shows the page after applying it (you'll see that the icon is blue in the address bar) and magically the page looks like it should. Sadly, I named my attachments in such a way that they're in reverse order so view them 3,2,1...

This feature has been around since IE7, but for the most part there have been very few reasons to use it. I still use IE 9, and find it to be a pretty good browser, but I do most of my web browsing with Waterfox (64 bit version of Firefox).
