    toshiba 232 scan to email

Machine asks for username and password when you
select scan to email.SMTP client set up has no
username or password entered.Where else could this
    be coming from?

The machine has been setup for SMTP Authentication which requires users to login for the right to be able to scan to email. This also makes the machine send the email from the email address of the user that is logged in.

To disable this feature, go into the web interface of the machine, log in as the administrator, go to the email settings and then down the bottom, disable the SMTP Authentication.
Please don't ask me for firmware or service manuals as refusal often offends.

It is set to disable. I hope someone has something else. Thanks for the suggestion.
