    Not Here Nor There

    Here's my not-here-nor-there-answer:

The same firmware is used on both kyocera and copystar machines. I think it's likely to be the same.

But if we're wrong you'll get to buy all new ROMs.
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

gotta be careful sometimes even the right firmware can cause the controller board to fry, had it happen to me twice with the 5q firmware for 2 separate km 5035s don't know why but it happened for these 2 copiers.
Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please.

Yeah, I've corrupted three ROMs in the last two months (two CS-5050s and a CS-2560). The funny thing is I used the same CF, same firmware, successfully on the new ROM's. Who knows what corrupts these things........

Gotta upgrade all firmware at one time. You do the print system with memory card at print system. Upgrade machine at slot inside upper right cover. Just take out the 3 screws and the slot is towards the rear. Can you get all the firmware files? Let me know if I can help you.

Sure I'll send them to you. They will all be zipped files. Format the memory card on the computer for the machine and the print system can be formated at the print system. Do you have the procedure? I can send it with the files.

There are new ROM's that go on the operation panel and the controller board to correct some of the issues on the new machine. The old style has the gold lettering and the new white. Would have to look at paperwork but think that's it.
