    Alerts, Notifications, Service request remotely

Here is a question for you guys out there.

You know Ricoh has this program named @Remote, the program is used to contact the dealer when there is a problem with the machine, to check the couter, and all the other fun stuff, is there something similar for Toshiba and Panasonic???

Please let me know, I would really like to know if there is something out there that will send me an e-mail when the machine is out of toner or to check the meter remotely.

    Thanks

I can't comment on Panasonic, or Toshiba, but Copystar/Kyocera builds in the functionality into the web interface. As long as the scan to email is functioning, emails can be sent automatically regarding toner low, toner out, error conditions, etc.

Also KM-Net Viewer is a Kyocera Utility that polls all the machines on the network and can also send out emails in a similar fashion. It can recognize Hp products also, but you'dd have to see if it speaks the same language as Toshiba or Panasonic.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

        Thanks Blackcat,

I know what you are saying about the notifications on Toshiba and Ricoh I know how to do that but I can't get the meter read automatically without that @Remote software.
There is alot of programs on each brand.
Ricoh has SmartDeviceMonitor and @Remote, Canon has imageWARE, Kiocera Mita has KM-Net, Sharp has Sharp Remote E-mail Diagnostics.

I was just wondering if there was something else and open source if possible. I'll keep looking,

        Thanks

          TOSHIBA Change 08-774 to 1 (it's service)
Then under User Functions and Admin tab you can find new service icon (very low).
Click on it and you can set Total Counter (and PM) to be sent for example every 2nd day of the month at 8:00.

                Sbarro,

you are the man, that works, and it even gives me the option to order supplies automatically, Service notifications, and total couter and PM counter. That is perfect.

I already know how to do it on panasonics, and Ricoh without that @Remote thing.

                Thank you very much sir,

                I really appreciate it

                Thanks
