Suffered a lightening strike (working from home) and knocked out router. Fortunately spare router and back up quickly. However, since then cannot connect to Kyocera printer. Cannot ping, see on network or login as previously. Status page prints OK.
Following info:
TCP/IP
IP address is ok
Subnet is OK
Default gateway is OK
IP address is OK, changed to 192.168.1.18 but cannot ping this.
Port num is 9100
However, under 10/100 connection: not detected.
So I am guessing ethernet card. However, connected up usb and seemed ok but came up with following:
ERROR: timeout
OFFENDING COMMAND: timeout
STACK:
-mark-
/sfnts
Did a search and came up with this Leopard printing error timeout - MacRumors Forums BUT now think this is a red herring as the real issue is not even seeing the ip address on the network.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated as I really don't want to dump what has been a great printer for years.
Thanks
Michael
