Email odd issue (for me anyway)

Hi, I have a small multi function that gives and error message of 3101 which on a Kyocera relates to "server in error stsus" "server is not authenticated normally"

This only happens with one of the email addresses, I have tried inputting and submitting it to the machine and also manually typing it in on the keyboard the recipeint gets the email ok but the error beeps up on screen.

Any ideas? its all working barr the message but I am curious to find out why!

    Thanks

    Madas

Most exchange servers will require authentication only when sending outside the domain. Is this address outside the domain or are they sending to others outside the domain ?
    Hope that helps !

      Hi Tony

sorry I forgot to mention they run their own company email server and the lady scans stuff to herself when needed, eg her name @companyname....does that help? Otherwise I will try and find more on their setup.
the other email addresses to the company work from the machine ok.

      Cheers

      Les

I would have their IT check the log on the exchange server. There are protocols to follow, so it should show what's happening with it.
The machine has no way of differentiating a recipient to cause the error, that would be exchange.
        Hope that helps !
