    Slow Printing - Sharp MX-2640N & WinXP

    Hi.


    I have an installation with Active Directory, and Sharp MFP's. The point is, when we want to print in Windows XP, it becomes to slow, and the programs (Word, Image Viewer, etc) get stuck. But it's only when we print in color. I changed the driver, and still the same issue.

    The MFP it's a MX-2640N.


    The print settings works fine in Windows Vista, 7, 8, 2008.


    Anyone have been in a similar problem?

      Are you printing peer to peer or network share?

              I had a similar problem on an hp lately printing through a server peer to peer setup solved this.

                  Thanks, bro. But, i can't use peer to peer. We're using Pcounter.

                  I don't know if the AD need an specific configuration.

                      I have had numerous printing issues (lock ups, rendering, ect) with sharp mx2616, and mx2640n series devices. Go under webpage, security, port control. Disable any network services that are not being used (ie. Tandem, mDNS, WSD). This has solved all of my issues thus far.
                      You may also have a problem with the network share but this may also help. Good luck!!

                          You do know that Windows XP is not a supported operating system on this model as well as no longer supported by Microsoft. If there some reason the customer needs to use Windows XP?

                              XP not supported, If only our customers would see it that way.
