Hello Hello,
Just wondering if any of you network guru's use any sort of network scanning utilities or apps?
I used to have one installed on may laptop back in the days of WinXP, but when we went to Win7 it didnt work. THis tool would scan every IP in a given range, it would ping, but also come back and list whether it was a Windows OS or something else. Was pretty useful when IP clashes happened a few times.
IT also listed was Protocols were being used (smtp etc) - I cant remember the name of it now, i will look through my old downloads and see if there is a newer version of it for Win7 and get back to you all on this.
But I wondered if people used something more powerful or knew of something that would work well? i dont have a specific use in mind. Im a copier / connectivity tech who helps customers IT with their issues.
Cheers
