    Kyocera Mita KM-4035

What is required to set a Kyocera Mita KM-4035 up for scanning? I was told that all I needed was the scan card, is this true? And are there any operating systems this will not work with? Thank you for any help given.

If you are doing Scan to SMB you'll need Scanner File Utility. If you are doing scan to email be sure to check what their smtp server settings are as some of the older scan systems will not work with the newer email security protocols.

You'll need the scan system (E), but ... you may have some difficulty getting the older technology to work.

      1) It doesn't support SSL/Start TLS, so you'll only be able to scan to a local email server, or you'll have to use a utility like Stunnel to simulate SSL.
      2) SMB will want to communicate on port 139. Newer PC's want to use port 445. You may be able to specify a port with the hostname, i.e.: 192.168.0.10:445
or open up port 139 at the PC
      3) The FTP utility might be your best bet.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
      1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
      2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
      3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
      4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
      5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
