We changed the formatter board and it gave the same code, you can hide it and still go into diagnostics but it won't print anything. Any ideas

These models (X555/X585) use the familiar xx.xx.xx error codes from what I'm seeing. Are the codes your seeing not in this format? I'm not seeing anything in that format even on the Channel Services Network.

Not saying this will help any, but, are you able to load the latest firmware? I noticed this model accepts the FutureSmart 4 Firmware.

I did load FS3 firmware, I did not try FS4 firmware, also the C6FD0002 says General engine failure after it says the connection between the formatter and engine is lost. Do you think the FS4 firmware might fix that?

Yep. Similar to the old X45x and X47x series. HP kept updating the service advisory and it ended up with them just replacing the whole printer because of the difficulty of replacing the printbars.
