    Hi Guy's,
    here's the photo's and the wee devil's which can cause the checksum and close top cover error messages.

    Fuses need to be checked with the power on. If the machine is in the error condition power cycle the printer and check the fuse during the power on cycle.
    The machine will shut down power to the CPU when an error is displayed and then you cannot check the fuse in this condition.
    Set your meter to DC volts and connect the black meter lead to frame ground with an alligator clip or the like so you do not need to hold it.

    Next; the red meter lead needs to be very pointed. If the red meter lead is not narrow and pointed it cannot be used to test the fuse.
    If the meters lead has a blunt tip it will be hard to contact the fuse because they are very small.
    Use a flash light to be able to see the fuses and touch one side of the fuse at a time. Both sides should read the same voltage.
    **Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**
