Is there a way to adjust or turn off the[ clean glass ] message. I am guessing that it's on because of some wear on the scanner glass. Next step replace the glass

Re: Canon c2880 clean glass
There is. Usually in user settings to turn off completly. You can turn down sensitivity at DF-DFTSL1 and L2. The settings are in service mode in different places on different models. I turn a lot of mine off or down to 100 or 80. Not something that has worked well I know of. We turn ours down to 125 on new machine setup. I wish I could tell you exactly where those settings are, but maybe some one else can. -
Re: Canon c2880 clean glass
Dan is correct,
Adjust the following in Service Mode:
Copier>Option>IMG-RDR>DFDST-L1* and DFDST-L2*
For backside dust detection adjust Copier>Option>IMG-RDR>DF2DST-L1 and L2.
DFDST-L1
Default value 200
Display/adj/set range 0 to 255
0: OFF
Black lines may appear on the image if there is dust. With dust detection correction control, the image is corrected to prevent black lines once dust is detected.
DFDST-L2
Display/adj/set range 0 to 255
0: OFF
Default value 200
Black lines may appear on the image if there is dust. With dust detection correction control, the image is corrected to prevent black lines once dust is detected.
*Adjust these values to a lower number to reduce the frequency of this message. Lowering the values reduces the circuit sensitivity.
