    irc3380

got a weird one- job lot of of irc3380 & irc3380i come in,checking them all out-however as i am to understand the u.k market the '3380 non -i' is fiery based?
if thats correct fine-however one of the non- i models has ps.pcl.ufr11 installed and can print even though it has an r-a board, but the other non-i can't (which is what i expected) whats going on?

I think its based on licenses, as the machines of both types come with the boards ready fitted to enable connection to techies laptops for system software upgrades via x-over cable or USB.

However if you decide to take the license off for the non i machine you may still have to change the system software to a stand alone machine to avoid a system conflict.

As I have not had massive experience in dealing with licenses and their management, I would say think twice before doing any of this.

In the US. the non-i machines come with UFR standard.
PS or PCL must be added as an option.

I imagine it would be the same in the U.K.

Did you try printing with the UFR driver?
