Could someone please help me on this code , got to visit customer on monday.

manual says wiring fault, a mounting fault of the HDD.

Could the HDD be faulty and where can i download the SST software.

turn on holding down 1 and 9 keys. will go through a long complete format. If blocks do not fall down through screen left to right, HDD is completely gone. Organise the coffee and a good mag.

iF THE HARD DISK IS GONE CAN I USE STANDARD HDD AND HOW DO I INSTALL SYSTEM SOFTWARE ?
I HAVE SST AND A CANON CD IR SYTEM SOFTWARE.

Do you use the copier over a network connection via ethernet? If so, you need the N firmware.

You can use standard HDD (5 GB and above) for your 2200-2800-3300 machine. If you have SST already in your pc or laptop just register your ir2200 firmware including the H and N. After registering you can format already your HDD. After format the HDD you have to load the System, Language and RUI.

You can use standard HDD (5 GB and above) for your 2200-2800-3300 machine.

This is only partially true, while you don't need to get your hard drive from Canon, you will need the same model that is in the copier now. I bought hard drives for my dealership, and the easiest path was to get the same hard drive models, otherwise you need to tweak the formatter .ift file. Not all drives were accepted by this tweak. I had best luck with same hard drive manufacturer's drives.
