    Canon iR3245 not adding toner

    Have a iR3245 that will not add toner. Have checked the developing unit (seems OK), have done the toner motor test (works and spins the toner bottle), replaced the toner sensor and even replaced the developing unit. Still not adding toner. Have put a new developing unit and tried to do the INSTALL Toner Stir, nothing. What am I missing?

      So I constantly receive the ADD TONER message?
      Check the two Cam Bottle Slides for cracks, replace if needed FC8-1140-000 / FC8-1144-000.

        If you were to manually add toner directly to the dev unit, pour some in, do you get a good copy? if yes you can rule out dev drive.

        Then as mentioned i'd be looking at the toner hopper or cams as tecat said.

          OK but it drives the toner bottle when you do the Toner container motor (M5), so why would it be the cams if it drives during this test. Or do I need to be testing the hopper motor (M9)?. First time I have run into this.

            hi, i am new to this forum. I am not so techie as other member. i am total new to this field. i bought 2 Cannon ir 3245 Copier. the 1 who sold to me is scammer. he sold to us and flew away, facing issues. while google (searching) found this site which would help for me to gain some knowledge and solve my issues.
            thanks for the support to the Admin,fellow members.

            my issue with one of machine is the same. i changed the toner hopper of the other but still the problem same not yet solved. as per your suggestion "Check the two Cam Bottle Slides for cracks, replace if needed FC8-1140-000 / FC8-1144-000" i am not able to understand the Cam Bottle Slides, can you show me the Picture. of the item.
