Irc2380 send probably since Win10 upgrade

Hi all,
Ive got a couple of customers that have irc2380s and they've upgraded to Win 10. I got them printing but can't register an address for send. When using SMB I get as far as the User and Password but can't get passed that point. It is the same if I try using the RUI. I am using the correct details but no joy.
I am thinking that it is due to security of Win 10.
Any ideas guys would be appreciated

Win Firewall ??

is issue present with Firewall off ??


If the problem will not happened once the firewall is turned off----------------------------------

Firewall rules are corresponding to different Network Profile, such as domain, private.
First make sure your network profile type on Windows 10, and then enable rules corresponding to the network profile.

Make sure that below rules are enabled on Inbound Rules:
File and Printer Sharing (NB-Name-In), UDP 137.
File and Printer Sharing (NB-Session-In), TCP 139.
File and Printer Sharing (SMB-In), TCP 445.
File and Printer sharing (NB- Datagram-In), UDP 138.

If the problem persists, you may try below configuration:
Control panel – Windows Firewall – Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall – Change Settings, check the option “File and Printer sharing” – save the change.

What I usually do when faced with this issue is create a new user account in Win 10, call it "scan" & the password "scan" for example, this way you know for sure authentication is correct.

Then create the scans folder on C:\ it must have full permissions read/write

Next in advanced sharing options check you have sharing & password protected sharing turned on.

Next from the copier if you can browse to the PC with the shared folder great, log into that PC with user & password both as "scan"
you should then be able to see your shared "scans" folder.

If you can't browse simply type the file path & log in details as above. (\\host name\C:\scans\

This has always worked for me, if not I then would pass it back to customer IT
