irc 3380 error light

customer says in morning when cold machine will not print and only flashes error light. no errors or jams in history. to fix this problem they have taped the upper right cover to make it tighter and they swear this works. i have not witnessed the problem even though i try to get there early in the cold. we have tried to recreate the problem so i can see it but no luck. has anyone seen this? i don't know where to start

If you get a red error light there will be a message in the screen saying why!

If they find taping the door shut then I suspect that is your problem, usually the front door, common problem they don't always close correctly

Tell the customer to take a photo or video when it happens and send it to you. If you cannot re-create the fault and it doesn't appear to happen when you are there then I suppose that you have no fault to fix.

this model has door issues/ & poor hinges

check SW3 and it's right door actuator
