    Irac 5035i cant ping

    Hi

Can anybody help with this problem. I have a machine C -IRA C5035i, which i can not connect to network.

I've tried connecting it directly to laptop via crossover cable, but cant ping it. However I am able to ping it (from CMD) when machine is in download mode ( 172.16.1.100),
but can not connect trough SST, to upgrade software.

I have other machines (same model) and tried to interchange DC and main controller (i switched the counter PCB and other small PCBs(there are 3, also RAM modules) but keep getting E355.

Have a lot of this machines, this is the only one that cannot be connected.

also i found that in some cases i get a small message on display saying FIXIP.
It looks like message from Service mode but it overlays on user settings and home screen.

    20160305_164847(0).jpg

did anybody had similair problem or experience with this.
I think if i would be able to upgrade software maybe problem would go away, but i cant acces it trough CDSU updater aswell as SST.
    thank you

    Re: Irac 5035i cant ping

    FIXIP mode=
holding down the numeric keys 1 and 7 and turn the power switch on.//IP address “172.16.1.100” will be automatically assigned for the device.
why did u go into FIXIP

U better refrain from swapping boards, that generated your E355 code.

    U can'tswap counter pcb's between printers./
hope u know which Counter pcb belongs in it's original printer

U also may have a defective or loose Counter PCB on Main Controller PCB 2.

    Note > in case u didn't know

Main Controller are diferent between models.
    5030 (FM4-3833-000)
    5035 (FM4-3832-000)
    5045 (FM4-3831-000)
    5051 (FM4-3830-000)

First, put the machine in Download Mode (2&8), to see if you can ping the Fixed IP address. (U already did this as posted)
If so the Network Card is fine and the System software is the issue.
If you still cannot ping the Fixed IP in Download Mode (2&8), the Network Card is bad and needs to be replaced.

reload SYSTEM using USB STICK > instead of SST

download mode is > Press [2] and [8] buttons at the same time on the control panel and turn on the main power
switch to start the device in Download Mode.

HDD can be formatted also by starting Download mode using the USB memory and
executing formatting from the displayed menu.

          Re: Irac 5035i cant ping

          Hi

I tried upgrading software trough USB, ( had some errors with upgrading [G3CCB] and [3GCCM]), DCON version is now 70.xx

but still can not ping, now can't ping it even in download mode.

By changing network card you mean whole (right FM4-0793) controller PCB ?

            Re: Irac 5035i cant ping

Before you start changing boards have you tried doing a DC CONT & MN CONT clear etc?

Set the IP to DHCP & reboot, does the machine pick up an IP address?

If you unplug the network cable do you get a message on the bottom that says network cable not connected?

              Hi

we tried at first clearing DC and MAIN CON, also we cleared MMI.. no difference .
DHCP doesn't work, and message (for network connection) does not appear.

On PCB however LED (on board, not on RJ45 connector) is turned on when cable is plugged in.

Yep, nic card is built into the board. If you have another machine you could just swap to try. The one I had I could not ping I took used board off another machine and I could ping it right away. Call for not printing or scan.

What about a Board Repair ?
