    service switch for 6085

when you open the front door, look up on the left hand cover panel and you will see a small hole about the size of a paper clip...push something in that hole. a paper clip works...you should see a dollar sign$ on the led readout...then hit the * key and that should put you in the service menu.

if you took the panels off, then just look for a blue or black button, it should have a sv or sc in small type around it. it may be on the right side, that machine is so old now, I havent worked on it for a while...put there is a small hole in one of the panels as you view it from the front. the service switch is behind that hole

I haven't heard any discussion about the E003.

The most common source of these codes is a bad connection at the modular connector at the back of the fuser to the rear frame. Occasionally I've had luck with soaking the fuser oil out of both ends of the connector in contact cleaner. If you've had arcing or bent pins forget using that connector and order both ends of J50. When installing the rear frame side use screws that are 6mm longer and insert three washers to space the connector deeper into the cavity, closer to the drawer. Have an assistant close the drawer slowly while you are in the back, to see if the connector bottoms out. If so, re-shim so the connector does not bottom out. It will soon shatter if not shimmed correctly. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
          1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
          2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
          3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
          4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
          5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

            about E003

remember the fault code E003, means unit fuser in conflict, first you have to measuring the continuity of the fuser lamps, check the thermal fuse, and all those parts work good, so change the thermistor. Then introduce in a service mode, press the swicht, press in the touch panel, * 4 * move to clear error, and press ok, so make POPO, and wait if do you want use the service mode again but use * 1 * press analog and you see the tempeture of the fuser, the correct tempeture is between 190 to 210 centrigrades.

            good look
