Copier displayed 27-400 error . I checked developer and drum coupler,s they turned freely didn't notice anything broken or stuck. After clearing error I replaced dev. unit and still the same issue code pops after 2 to 3 pages are printed out. Thanks

Did I check the machine side coupler_?**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.** -
Re: advanced irc 5035 error
On Drum/Developer Drive Assembly
here is a pic of damaged one
EXAMPLE---------------------------Missing Magenta on Prints and Copies.
In this case replacement of the coupler cap (FC8-4171-000) resolved the issue, the pin (XD9-0325-000) may also need replacement if it is not recoverable.
Extreme case may require the entire Drum/Developer drive assembly (FM3-5976-000) replacement. The following image shows the damaged coupler cap.
A hole was created by a pin in the coupler cap for the Magenta Developer drive coupler, allowing the pin inside to drop through, this created a lack of drive to the developer assembly.
The drive of the Developers are plastic couplers that could easily break.
Also check the pin on the frame side to make sure it is secured properly to the White Coupler or there will be lack of drive to the Developer Unit.
The figure below shows the white and black coupler with part numbers.
Also there is a Coupler with part number FC8-4338-000 mounted on the rear of the Developer Unit that could snap.

Re: advanced irc 5035 error
ive had this error code before .. tried new dev unit .. new drive assembly .. new drum drive pcb .. didnt fix it
in the end it turned out to be the foam mylar piece that surrounds the hole where the toner enters the dev unit had come off and got stuck inside the hopper unit causing the supply auger to not turn. the way to tell is to shine a torch at the back where the hoppers meet the drums are located and if you see something sticking out of the hopper .. if you see it you have to remove the hopper unit to remove it. you can also check the old black dev to see if the mylar is missing
hope this helpsComment
