    [CQ] Imagepress 6010 registration

    All,

I've just done a belt/roller change and I can't get the registration to pull back in.

When I run at-img-x it says ok.

Any help would be great as I've been here for hours

    Thank you.

Will pop lasers out and centre motors.

Had this happen to me on a C6000 unit just days ago....

Another tech was on site working on the machine and having issues when I got there. First issue we had was E020-0380 and it would error after each print. Turned out to be the cyan corona wire was out of place.

PG10 test print would show YMC bands totally perfect, but the black band was out big time...the grid was very similar to yours. Makes no sense to mess up the black but after we got rid of the error code by fixing the cyan corona, we ran AUTO-IMG in service...registration came right back. Ran the rest of the adjustments no issues.

I don't run AT-IMG-X much on these machines because in the past it has caused me headaches and sometimes generated E194 errors (yikes..).

Check your patch sensors maybe? If I recall correctly, you are supposed to do AT-IMG-X and then AUTO-IMG up to 3 times to get the reg right. If you run into E194 eventually before you fix this, it could be a laser...sometimes I have had to center them like you mentioned.

Try GRID-ADJ...this will give you a print without using lasers.

      Good luck

do the following recommended actions as :
        1-init-itb
        2-itb-edge
        3-intr-ex
        4-at-img-x
        5-auto-img
if this sequences failed you will have trail and error to bring color to acceptable level.
print pg6 and see how much off black you evaluate this by holding the lead edge of PG 6 towards your left side, if black is towards the left side of other colors , then go to copier>adj>laser>LNSMTR K and make +300, and do ATIMGX. After this do the routine Copier>Function>laser>LDAJD K . Continue this till the Black is within the range and then ATMGX will be able to bring back colors.

            Hello,

Managed to fix this by manually centering black laser mirror, and clearing dc con.

But this has given me a perform maintenance message on the prisma screen. Can these be hidden? Machine doesn't need maintenance and is working fine.

            Roll on Friday......
