    ir4570 B5 paper size

I have an ir4570 in the field that is showing Cassette 4 as B5 paper size in lieu of 11x17. I have flipped the switch on the cassette and even swapped cassettes and it still shows B5 on the control panel. This is an older copier so maybe I don't remember everything, is there something in the service manual that directs this?

Not that I can remember. Make sure there is no paper behind cassette. Sounds like the cassette switches. Maybe you can swap from one tray to another.

I believe there is a small switch on the device itself by the cassette. It toggles to display metric or imperial size. If there isn't any paper behind the cassette I'd check that.

The size switches are behind the dial on the tray, and yes I've seen some fail, or the housing break so they don't make proper contact.

If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Thanks you are right, there are dipswitches that the cassette is suppose to toggle, but it must be faulty on that particular cassette slot, I will replace it. I appreciate your help.
