    IRC 2880 with 0105 Codes

We have an IRC 2880 that jam every time we use tray #1. The bypass and tray #2 work fine. The jam occurs no matter what size paper we use. We replaced the entire feed assembly for tray 1, but the paper stops in the exact same spot.

We're suspecting a sensor is the issue. The jam code is 0105 which seems to be the a pre reg jam with PS7. We had a tech replace PS7 and the copier still jams in the same spot. Any other ideas as to what the problem might be?

    Thanks.

Does the pre reg sensor arm look OK, is the modified one with the metal tip? seen a few early machine that still have the old plastic one that wears down etc.

It's the plastic one so you are probably on to something. We will try a new one with the metal tip. Thanks for the help!
