    IR 3025 and 3245 fusers

These fusers are so mixed up with pin outs and number of connectors. Right now I have two fusers that have two purple wire connectors but the 120v has 3-pin and 4-pin version. I am re-sleeving these so I know my way around them. One machine just went E0000-0001. Tried resetting the code with clear/ERR-OK. It would not reset so I believe the ceramic heater is shot. Has anyone tried changing around the 120v connector heads?

Someone posted a while ago about that. I have never tried it but another person said they had heard it possible. I don't remember what models or how you would find that post here. I just use the fixing films they call for and I was surprised someone asked the question. I did a search on fixing films and "Can an IR2270 fuser be converted to a IR4570" came up. Don't know if it will work?

Personally I wouldn't bother, they are different for a reason, why risk blowing your power supply or DC controller!
