[Misc] ir3235 failing to update firmware

plugged in thumb drive with firmware update, threw service mode, select upgrade /over right all..
[error]file registration error,,

just to check the thumb drive tried in another 3235, goes all the way threw update..

has anyone seen this before? solution?

I have some issues updating software on that series. Seems like the firmware has to be to a certain number (not sure which one) before it updates with thumb drive. Use power off holding 2 and 8 turn on until you see it is in safe mode. I have one I am waiting to use the SST to update that is really low version (have not been able to get thumb drive to work on it). I have not seen any improvements updating software as I have seen in advanced series.
