Had a magenta Color registration problem last Monday. I finally fixed it w/o parts, but it still has me dazzeled.
Copy had white lines in magenta, so i did the usual, drum was brand new and ok, cleaned the laser and lines where gone.
But after that magenta was off about 2 mm. Lines build up from magenta and cyan looked real bad.
Did a color corection, no difference, took a closer look, and the magenta seemed to be off 1,5mm on the back and 3 mm on the front ! So i removed, cleaned and reseat the laser again, no difference. Did a Clear reg and color correction, still the same, reseated laser again, no diff. Did another clear reg and color correction, nothing.
Did a clear reg, shut down, did another clear reg, then color correction (yes i'm subborn
) and it was just perfect.
anyone a clue what has happened ?

But never saw a difference in front and back of the print. My first thought was i misaligned the laser... But the printer was checked and fine 2 days before (changed Cyan an magenta drum then and did col.corr. and full gradation...)
