    ir 550 error 218

Error code 218. I have replaced exposure lamp, dc controller and lamp inverter pcb. I have tried clearing error code in service and still have problem. Canon has no bulletin or fix listed for this problem. Has anyone run into this error. Help is appreciated. THANKS

This is the only reference I can find:

E218. No 38VDC or 24VDC to the intensity PCB. The temperature of the fuser reads 180 degrees. The I/O address does not recognize a lamp in the circuit. Reseat the connectors on the DC controller, and reset the printer PCB.

    I hope it helps. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

When you replaced the lamp did you replace the heater on the lamp? Often the fix for e220 and e222
