    Hi
issue :while making color copies on few particular printouts ,output is coming as black and white ,reader is not recognizing the colors in the backgrounds.apart from that machine is working fine

kindly have a look on the attachment and suggest ur comments (missing background colors are marked with red circle in the original output file)

action taken :increased the density to the maximum -no result

Not sure it this will help you but I had one call where only a certain document would not print some of the color. I found out if I scanned it to their computer and then printed it the color came out. I think it was yellow on a flow chart map. Would copy everything else fine. Customer was ok with scanning and printing in my case.

A CCD adjustment in service mode may solve the problem but may not. If there's not much color to detect when scanning the copier will print black/white copies. The easiest and fastest way to get around this is to change the color setting from "auto color/bw" to "full color".

I don't have it memorized but basically you go into service mode under Function-CCD and do the adjustments on that page. If you press the green button at the bottom of the page it will give you directions when you select each item. Some adjustments are for the document feeder CCD and some you need to put white paper on the glass for a Reader CCD adjustment. Just follow the instructions and you'll be fine.

I would first request that the shading is way too light. This is where some digital machines cannot pick up such a light shade. The shade is blue, if the shade was black it would be easier. Suggest a different style of highlighting like Lines or dots that are common in other Schematics. Light has to reflect off of the shading and if it is barley there to begin with then you dont get any data. Light shade and color paper copy was one advantage of Analog machines and some older digital models.

Dont forget the rule of thumb. If a doc doesn't print right try another driver language. Postscript might be able to deal with such a light shade. But then again this pig would look better with some deep colored lipstick.
I have used Canon Imagerunner parts for sale. Most are floor model Color and / Advances Imagerunner with some 3025 3235 parts. Several intact machines being parted.
