Canon iR 2016 not powering up.....puzzled!

Well, the machine was invaded by rats, ate much of the wire inside. The finisher unit was the most affected. Ignoring advice from fellow techs here to discard the finisher unit and allow machine to work as base model only, I went ahead to disassemble the finisher unit and redid the wiring, at hand was its service manual. I did all the other wiring on the host unit. After resembling the units now machine doesn't power up. I retraced my steps and I'm very sure of the wiring done,as I was too careful in doing so.
Any input from you is much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Look if this machine has been attached by rats just scrap it, you are mad to try & repair it!
You can pick up a complete working ir1600 for peanuts!
This machine is a heath & safely nightmare, it could actually catch fire not worth the risk.
Let us eat, drink, and be merry, because tomorrow we may die!

Not encouraging. That would be wasting available resources both technical and human. A Tech's job just like in any engineering work is to cut down costs. I do own and operate a small copy and print shop. The machine is actually mine, and from experience, despite challenges, I believe its fully repairable. I can save a few dollars from doing so.
