IPF9000 Printhead replacement after PCB Mainboard change??

    Hello
i'm wondering if i have to change the printhead after a PCB Mainboard change, i know that in the PCB are stored vital infos about lifetime and so on, and canon recommend to change only one PCB at time, so the infos are copied from one to another. Now I'm wondering if this works if I change only the PCB Mainboard.

    Thank you for your help

    Printheads don't store ****

    The problem is:
If you replaced mainboard because of electrical shortage "caused by printheads" - you should have replaced the printheads in the first place and than the mainboard.

I agree with this. I had the exact thing happen to me, printhead overheated & blew the PCB, I replaced the PCB as per the service manual & the same thing happened. Canon UK informed me of this printhead issue, so next I replaced both as a pair & the issue never came back.

Expensive fault as you will also need extra inks & the maintenance cartridge!

Thanks, but i have a blown mainboard because of a shorten suction fan, now i have to replace the board and i'm not sure if this makes me change the printheads after the mainboard change, because of the infos about the lifetime stored in the mainboard.

Information in LFP-s is stored on main board PCB and on another tiny pcb called "maintenance cartridge relay PCB".

Ok... Is it possible if i change only the pcb main board that i have to change also the printheads? Because the lifetime is stored there?
