Got a 2020 which suddenly showed this message? It's just being used as a photocopier so not networked at all. Can I switch off the auto firmware update?

Is there a fix just to get it back working as a copier again?

This message means that the controller/firmware has become corrupted.

You will need to re-flash the firmware to enable the machine to be usable. (even just for copying unfortunately)

Can I get this firmware somewhere and the instructions on how to do it? I service the sharp copier in their office and they got this small canon upstairs and asked if I could look at it for them? I'm not a canon tech so have no way of getting firmware.

how to update

Using service support tool program

FIRSTLY, upgrade BootROM And then turn off and on the
device power.
SECONDLY, upgrade System Firmware, Language and PCL if the machine is IR2020i model

Sequential order is COMPULSORY
