    Canon IR3750 Touchscreen Issue

    Hello,

    I have a Canon IR3750 and it was working correctly until I unplugged it to clean behind the machine. When I plugged it back in it goes through the normal start up but the touchscreen doesn't power up and the controls do not respond. The green power light is illuminated.

    Has anyone experienced this issue?

      Yeah,
      more than likely just replace the touch panel part,...good luck..!

          Thanks for the fast reply. I had a technician come out yesterday and he said he can't guarantee it but he thinks its the controller board failed and that they are $500. I wanted to see if that sounded correct? I have took a picture of my board. What is the purpose of the green light? It seems to be blinking in a pattern. Could this be an error code. I also have a Canon IR2230 with what appear to be the same Clara Board FK20421 and the green light is steadily illuminated. THANKS!

              did you power down the machine or just unplug when it was live... if when live you could have messed a board or HDD.

                  Will it print? If the control panel is damaged the device will still accept print commands from the network. If it doesn't print you could be looking at the controller.

                      I don't think you blew the board. I think if you format the HDD and re-installed the system software it will boot up.

                      Other poster is correct it should still print if the control panel/touch screen was bad.

                      Was technician from canon? ask him why you should pay $500 for his guess work? ask him if he knows how to read a schematic to check for voltages / singles to confirm the controller pwb is bad! If not find a tech that can!

                          Really appreciate everyone's help. Yes, the technician that came out was an authorized canon dealer but not very helpful and not worth the money. It is the hard drive that is the issue. The drive is getting power but does not spin up. I have another drive but need the SST program and Firmware. Does anyone know where I can find the SST program and Firmware?

                              Do you hear the machine initialize? Can you browse to it? If it does neither...yes...main controller. Green light on and dead machine=main con or LVPS. If it works but no control panel, install new system software as first step. If HDD was bad it would not load OS into RAM and machine would be dead or e602.
