    Ipf6300s Hard drive replacement help

Hi. Steve from San Diego, here. Can anybody give me a little guidance in changing my hdd? I've scoured the internet hoping to find a better schematic than what's provided in the service manual. No dice[emoji456][emoji456]. I guess this kind of documentation is super top secret, cuz I can't find diddly. Canon wants $1000 flat fee, and Steven gets $365.00/hr.
I can get a genuine part for $150. I'm not shy about getting in there myself, but I'd rather not go in blind.
Anything you guys can give me is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks [emoji137]
    Steve

Is the error message: "E602-401B" error message, won't clear?

Have you tried just formatting the drive? The way I understand it, the HDD just gradually fills up until you clear or format it. This is the procedure I dredged up on the iPF-785: power Off > hold Load & Navigate while powering On > right arrow to Setting/Adjustment Menu > OK > V to System Setup > OK > V to Erase HDD Data > OK > High Speed > OK > OK.

There will most certainly be differences, but maybe you can navigate your own way with this much information. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
    1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
    2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
    3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
    4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
    5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

No, it's an E602-401A. The machine is supposed to automatically reformat the drive if it detects bad sectors, and it actually tried to do that before going to the hdd failure message.

Took that mofo apart, and put in an old laptop drive that I had laying around, fired it back up, and now it's reformatting itself like it's supposed to do.
        I...think...this...just...might...work!!!!!
It was easy, but without that service manual Fancy Bear was able to pry out of the Canon vault, I probably would have broken some stuff trying to get access. Imho, Canon should provide this documentation with the purchase of their high end printers. But they don't, and it's almost impossible to find.

Oh yeah, I also made a video of everything, and will be on YouTube shortly.

Thanks for the help. You guys rock!
