    ir5055 half light

Canon ir5055 has intermittent light copies down half of the page. This happens on prints and copies. Very intermittent, tech made about 200 copies without an issue, then 2 pages came out like this. We have replaced all the primary corona assemblies and the HVT pcb. Any ideas?

Luckily I only have one or two of those left and rarely see them. When I first looked at it looked like something on laser glass but if it is intermittent maybe something like drum ground? could be charge, laser, or drum ground. I am not sure what the contacts on the back of the drum do.

Service Manual says 1,000,000 on developer but it sounds like the developer is a good idea to try next.

Obviously,it's a transfer problem. Replace the wires of pre-trasfer assy. and transfer assy..(or,replace these two assys.) Then get into service mode , COPIER > OPTION > BODY>TR_SP_C1(C2,C3,C4,MF,DK) ,set these items to 2.

Possibly HVT connector for transfer/sep corona assembly. They crack and leak. Its the one that the contacts on the rear of the trans/sep assembly make contact with when you close drawer and latch handle to lift the assembly. Look in the Alarms in service mode for clues...
