Just wanted to update this thread to state that updating to the latest firmware made the issue go away, as suggested above (7.10).

A skilled technician is needed for disassembly and assembly. Ordinary personnel should pay attention to disassembly and assembly, as the drive clutch is located inside the drive gear.



After removing the cover on the right side of the machine from the front, you can see a drive clutch. The softening of the clutch release sponge caused the machine to have inaccurate calibration between the drive drum and the ITB component color block sensor, resulting in malfunction.


The method is very simple: remove the clutch, remove the softened sponge, replace it with a layer of electrical tape and install it to solve the problem.

Looking through the menu options on the printer I can't seem to find it.

If you print the configuaration page, at the top left you will see the version

The situation is the printer won't print, it goes directly into the E078-0001 error. For that reason it won't let me check the IP number either.
Is there anywhere to see the IP when I can't print the configuration page?
I have it connected to a MacBook and there's no printer IP showing anywhere.

You can force the IP address of the printer on the printer...

settings / std network menu / TCP/IP settings / IP v4 settings / ip address settings / IP address

It should show you the current one... (and you can modify it)...

Then, you connect to that page (IP address)... my admin password was nothing, just "enter", and then you can get the info...
