    C3480 copy quality

See attached example of gradation adjustment test print. Can someone tell me what is causing the vertical lines on the Black? We have replaced the black drum unit, transfer roller and transfer cleaning unit. This is only on the Black, this scan isn't very good but the other colors don't have these vertical lines.

      Hi

If the laser glass dirty, makes horizontal lines
Measure the distance of the lines to count the diameter of the part which can cause the problem.

Looking at your scan, is this long edge feed direction? & the lines are going top to bottom?

Is this a genuine drum you have replaced or a compatible/rebuild kit?

Yes it is an OEM drum unit, first thought it was faulty so ordered another and same problem.

Have you replaced the ITB unit ?
Maybe the inner transfer roller within the ITB belt for black is dirty, causing a jump on every rotation.
