Canon IRA 400IF ADF Jamming After First Feed

    Hi Guys,
I have a customer that they thought a staple was stuck in the paper path of the ADF...there were no obstacles in paper path when I got there.
The paper will feed at first , then stop as the first paper feed wheels still try to feed.
Can the feed rollers be that dirty? Or what can it be to fix it?
    Thanking you in advance,
    Doug

The registration flag has popped out. Seen it many times. Check for the actuator...it should be sticking up in the cutout in the plastic mylar in the separation guide that sep pad mounts to. Disaassemble and put back in....

did you clean the feeds? ( one thing I do regardless of the complaint )
is there a jam code associated with it?
did you clean all sensors in the path?

I agree with Canuck. I've had it happen. I was able to pull it up into place. I hope you're as lucky.
