[Jamming] Jam 1F58 Canon Saddle Finisher AJ2

    Hello,

Can someone help us with Jam 1F58 that we are getting on Saddle Finisher AJ2 when we try to print a booklet ? The booklet stops at the saddle output tray.

    Thank you in advance !

Jam code 1F58 is a "Detection of disengagement of the Sensor Saddle Fold Roller" sensor PS124 (WG8-5848-000) Saddle folding roller HP sensor.
Location of the sensor can be found in the Saddle Finisher AJ-2 service manual on page 5-58.

Saddle Finisher AJ-2displays 1F58 jam code when making booklets.

    Example of Problem :
When running booklets of 11X17 or larger through the saddle finisher, it will make the booklet , then crease the edge. However, the booklet will not fully drop onto the tray conveyor belt and will cause an 1F58 jam code.

Cleaned the fold rollers, feed rollers and pressure rollers, replaced HP sensor PS109, replaced the saddle finisher driver PCB, cut wire ties on the sensor harness and performed the sensor init adjustment with no avail.

    Solution :
After swapping out rollers, finisher and saddle finisher pcb's, photo sensors, different drive assemblies it was found that the DC stepping motor M104 (FK2-1732-000) was causing the issue.
Once the motor was replaced booklets were able to print out and fall onto the conveyor belt tray.

I did clean a few HP sensors and it start working properly again. Is there anyway I can the AJ2 service manual ? I found only AB2 which was quite similar to my AJ2.

      Thanks Teckat !
