hi evry one i have a ir 600 with this error and it automatic shut off.first i clear the error but never change i replace the whole fixing unit from the working one but never work the same with ssr and dc con. i check the wiring and the connector thy all good. please anyone help me.

Error :
The copier will display an error code of E004, before powering off at the main switch. An E004 error code is defined as a problem with the SSR or possibly the DC Controller. In this case, the SSR, Fixing Lamps, and Thermistor were replaced, but the error continued.

Workaround :
The E004 error code was repaired by replacing the Thermoswitch ( FH7-6281-000 ).

If you replaced the entire fixing unit then you have replaced the thermo switch. when you reset the code how long is it before the code comes back? did you reset it with the door open? Try that and take the covers off so you can see if the lamps come on at all when you interlock the door switch. depending on how quickly the machine codes out will direct your efforts. But going on what you say you replaced I would recheck the wiring and be sure there are no small pieces of paper in the machine side connectors and cut the wire ties going from the fixing connectors to the DC controller, being careful, of course, not to cut the wires. if you're still having trouble come back with more info on how quickly it happens and if you see the lamps light up even if for just a second

hi thnks for the reply .the lamps never comes on even for just a second.i still never change the wire i will inform you if that will solve the problem.

something else to check. if the rails holding the fixing feeder frame are loose or old and weakened they can sag and cause poor contact with the frame side connector.
