Canon ir ADVANCE C2020 service mode

I have a Canon IR ADVANCE C2020 i cant access service mode. The access is usually settings registration 2 and 8 then settings registration again. And nothing happens at all. Ive done this a number of times on other machines and it accesses fine. But i cant on this any suggestions.

Remember its the additional functions key 28 not the standard *

Check that you don't have a sticking button, reboot the machine and hold down 2+8 if you get download mode buttons are OK, if you get a reboot you got a sticky key in the control panel.

Alternative service mode entry is 4+9 try this.

Had this happeing a couple of times... It sometimes helps to press 2 and 8 shortly (VERRY short) after another: press 2 (and hold) then 8 immediately, not 2 and 8 at the same time.

Yes there is a nack to it this prevents the customer accidently logging in service mode.
