Replaced full set of drums (due to poor cq and high drum life count) and now the machine is giving an E020-0013. If I put the old black drum in, copier works fine. Should I just presume this new black drum is bad or is there something else I should check. Manual mentions clean/reseat/replace the ATR sensor but wouldn't that be an issue even with the old drum too?

Re: C3080 E020-0013
Yes there was a firmware update for this issue, you may also need to replace the ITB.
However if you want a "instant solution" swap the old & new drum chips, this way you can "fool" the machine into thinking it still has the old drum when in fact you have fitted the new one!

Re: C3080 E020-0013
What copier tech said. Just needed to do that on IRC 5250, installed new drum from Katun, started with errors, nothing pertaining to drums/TB, replaced the chip with the old drum chip, has worked fine now for 2+ months. Copy quality is beautiful.Comment

Technician went back out and cleaned the laser and everything really good, there was a lot of toner mess inside copier, everything seems fine now. Thanks for all the help!Comment
