Canon ImageRunner Advance C3330i Error E302-001

I do some 3rd party service for a canon dealer out of california on a Canon IR Advance C3330i and the machine will come up with a E301-001 error several times a day when copying using the ADF. The company in California sent the update bulletin (TP17) about putting the anti static strip over the ribbon cable and asked me to order the following parts. FL0-3218-000 & FL1-4605-000. I was told order them because I could get them faster than they could... go figure!! I am having trouble finding the parts I was hoping someone would be able to help... Although the bulletin, TP17, doesn't seem to apply to this problem because it shows the cable buckling as the machine is scanning an original off the glass. I still need to try. Unless anyone has some other advice.. Thanks in advance

anytime I have an error that comes and goes ( any brand ) I ALWAYS start by disconnecting all wiring harnesses and reseat them... vibrations and people shoving the copier around ( along with the harness cut to JUST what length needed ) tends to wiggle them free after a while. and since it's in the ADF ( slamming lids ) can cause them to come loose also.

not sure what the static strip is for..? is it to keep the FCC from cracking due to strain on it? if that's the case... use some gorilla tape and wrap the FCC ( i do this to trailing cables on HP and Epson plotters )

Start simple... Check your connectors, and unplug/reseat all the cables in the scanner unit. Sometimes a loose connection is all it is.

      - Flat Cable between the Main Controller PCB (UN05/J33) and the Scanner Unit (Unit of replacement: CABLE, FLAT)

      - Scanner Unit (Unit of replacement: LASER SCANNER ASSEMBLY)

And if that doesn't resolve it, reseat the connectors on the Main controller....

      - Main Controller PCB (UN05) (Unit of replacement: MAIN CONTROLLER PCB ASS'Y) [Remedy] Check/replace the related harness/cable, connector and parts.

I only had one and replaced the cable. Code came back and ordered the scanner and cable which fixed it. My original cable was under the scanner and the newer cable was stronger.
