    e100 on iR2000

I have seen before that the tab on the pcu breaks off and causes this but in this instance it is not broken. I can hear the mirror motor wind up and then it pops the e100. However, it only does this when attempting to print/copy but not on start-up. Most likely the LD unit is toast but I'm unfamiliar with this model...any quirks that I should look into, first?

Any and all help is appreciated.

On the same subjet I have a ir3530 you make 20-50 copies and get e0100-0001 or e0110-002 paper jams reset machine same thing. Replaced laser unit, checked shutter ass'y, and reg. ground and still same thing.

E110-002 is USUALLY caused by unplugging the dev without turning the machine off first.
It blows a fuse on the DC controller...(FU1 or FU3).
Solder in a new fuse(resistor type) and you'll be up and running again.

hi guys.the error code E100 system error in the canon 1r 2000 it is caused by the laser unit shutter mechanism it does not work smoothly so you have to check the laser unit & the arm below the laser unit which open&close the shutter.
          good luck for all.
