On the paper, this falls in the same line as wanting to put 2 tons of dirt in a 1/2 ton truck. Any time you try to go out of the design specs, not only do you void any warranty, you are asking for trouble.

I suppose a service tech could mess with the nip and you feed single sheet at a time via the bypass, but as I said above, you would be asking for real trouble.

Because the stock weight is over the machine specs I'd do just that...try one sheet at a time via the bypass..WITHOUT the finisher if it has one.
If it works...good for you...but remember...the machine isn't supposed to run that type of stock at all.

3380 in a print shop.....WHY.....this is a business color machine....even with an imagepass rip you wont get any pantone color matching. As for heavy stock...this machine is useless. You get what you pay for...only machine Canon supports for 300 gsm or 12-point paper is Imagepress v7000....You can buy 15 3380 machines for price of one V7000.
