    Canon iRC2380i, waste toner box

    - the machine iRC2380i doesn't work because of "replace waste toner box"
    - I replaced the waste toner box, then I replaced the optical sensor on the left side, but still it doesn't work
    - it seems the automatic reset after changing the waste toner box doesn't work
    - I think the sensor ps11 can't be the problem because of "replace ..."

anyone an idea ? one of the boards out of order ?

How to: Fix "Insert Waste Toner" - iRC2380/2880/3380 etc.
**Knowledge is time consuming, exhausting and costly for a trained Tech.**

I had one doing that and the video is exactly the problem. I also looked at the optical sensor first. When you put the bottle in where the toner comes out is a sensor.

        hello

there is a relay pcb in front.
if you clean the sensor and problem is still there then relay pcb has blown.you will need to replace it.l

I can't find the sensor, can you describe where it is (I think you don't mean the PS11, which indicates if there is a waste toner box installed or not) ?
The problem is the message "replace the waste toner box", not the message "insert the waste toner box"

Look on the the waste toner bottle, there's a clear window that fills with waste when full & block the sensor giving the "replace waste toner" message.

So to locate the sensor simply look when the little window fits in the machine that's the sensor, clean or replace it.
