Hello there, I cannot get my files to attach to send you a pic...but it looks like each letter of the print has the same letter almost stacked on top of it..giving it a "fuzzy" look , or like the secretary said "double vision" Anyway the machine has 77,063 total copies/prints with 15,690 being color prints/copies.
The drum life on all 4 drums are well under 100, I did not know if I should replace a drum or all of them...only OEM toner is used also.
Like I was saying I cannot upload any pic's. through the file manager at this time...do not know why.
      Thank you for you reply,
      Doug

Ok.. you will have to go there an measure in MM the space from top of primary letter to top of ghosted letter.. look in SM for defect ruler or defect spacing. That will give you which roller is the cause.. my guess one in fuser assmy

If it's only on color copies then it's probably not the fuser. Double check black copies and look closely to see.

Have you executed the 'Color correction adjustment' jet ? Sounds like the colors don't allign correctly.

Do a PG6 testprint from servicemode to check..

That's color registration. Clean the patch sensors as well

Common problem with this model. There is an updated itb belt assembly. Like they said clean the itb reg patch sensors and do auto color mismatch. Sometimes it takes new drums, mostly black. With new software and new style itb belt and the settings changed with the instructions in box it is as good as it gets. Canon for a while said to change all kinds of settings and the new style itb belt says change them back to 0. There is a bias brush instead of a cleaning blade in the drums. Some techs take them apart and clean but I just replace them. Canon calls it ghosting but you could also have color reg problems. I have turned the paper to letter R to solve this but one of the trays does not adjust to letter R.

                    Check your DRBL-1 & 2 counters.

Drums on these machines are terrible, lucky to get 80% without issue.

Also as mentioned here ITB has been modified for this exact issue, if the rear arm is black its the old style (modified arm is grey)
